Ports of Nikolaev and Ghent sign cooperation agreement

SE Nikolayev Sea Commercial Port (Ukraine) and the port of Ghent (Belgium) signed today in Kiev a memorandum of cooperation in the framework of Ukrainian-Belgian business forum, the NSCP’s press service reports.

According to head of NSCP Basil Ivaniuk, the agreement is a beginning of fruitful partnership between the Nikolaev port and the port of Ghent. The increase in freight traffic, cooperation in the field of maritime safety, training and development of new shipping lines are the main directions of the ports’ cooperation.

State-owned Nikolaev Sea Commercial Port is engaged in transshipment of grain, potash, coal, bauxite, ore, wood and metal. The port has 11 operating berths and 3 berths currently under construction.
