Qingdao Port to have world largest ore and coal terminals

Nov 26, 2010 Port

The Economic Observer reported that Qingdao Port will open a 300,000 tonnes mineral terminal in its Dongjiakou New Port on December 28. Dongjiakou New Port specializes in handling, storage and distribution of ores and coal.

Qingdao Port plans to spend three to five years build Dongjiadu Port into 300 million tonnes large port as the city currently lacks a large scale port. A 26 million tonnes high quality port is currently under construction and another two 200,000 tonnes ore and coal terminals will be built in 2011.

Qingdao will have the largest ore and coal terminals group in the world by then.
