Huizhou Port receives first international box service

THE Huizhou Port Industrial Corporation (HPIC) has started receiving its first international service between Huizhou and Japan operated by SITC Container Lines (SITC).

SITC uses four 1,054-TEU container vessels on its CJV4 weekly service that calls at ports in Shenzhen-Shekou, Huizhou, Shanghai, Osaka, Kobe, Busan and Ho Chi Minh City.

"CJV4 is the first international service departing from Huizhou," said HPIC general manager Matthew Tsui. "We give thanks to SITC for choosing HPIC as their preferred terminal operator. The service provides local manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective gateway to Osaka and Kobe, Japan. We are determined to launch more direct services."
