David Albaiceta named new General Manager Asia Pacific at Lufthansa Cargo Charter

The charter experts in the Lufthansa Cargo Group have gained a real all-rounder in David Albaiceta, who has been appointed General Manager in Asia. Albaiceta, a Spanish national, succeeds Eric Erbacher.
In addition to his native Spanish, he also speaks fluent German, English and French.
He has a working knowledge of Thai, and has gained many years of international experience in the field of special logistics.

David Albaiceta’s international background is also reflected in his academic qualifications. He obtained an MBA, a Master’s Degree in International Relations and a BA in Philosophy after completing university courses in Spain, Germany, France and Thailand,

In his mid-thirties, his career took him via an investment company in Thailand and China to Bangkok, where he worked as a Managing Director for World Courier.
Subsequently, as Business Development & Sales Manager for time:matters in Singapore, he was largely responsible for setting up the Asian branch of that company, which specialises in emergency logistics and also belongs to the Lufthansa Group.

In August of this year, David Albaiceta was appointed Manager for Asia at Lufthansa Cargo Charter. Working with the Charter team in Hong Kong and with an additional base in Singapore, he will be responsible for promoting the development of Asian markets.
