Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has concluded a major order with the Vietnam government for 630 Fuso Canter light-duty trucks. MFTBC handed over most of the trucks to the Vietnam government over the past several weeks, and the remaining vehicles will be delivered by mid-October.
“We’re very delighted about the conclusion of this deal with the Vietnam government,” says Dr. Albert Kirchmann, President and CEO of MFTBC. “This contract demonstrates the very positive development MFTBC has experienced in its international business. It reflects our increasing market presence and our efforts to achieve further growth in the Vietnamese market. Thanks to our presence in Southeast Asia and the outstanding cooperation with our partners, Fuso is optimally prepared for achieving further successes. Our position allows us to offer high-quality products and services to customers in Vietnam.”
MFTBC launched the latest generation of the Fuso Canter light-duty truck in Vietnam last year. Like its predecessor, the truck is a standout with regard to customer-friendliness and offers enhancements in terms of safety, reliability, functionality, comfort, and economy. The Fuso Canter is sold through a network of 19 Fuso dealerships throughout Vietnam .
MFTBC is one of Asia's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. MFTBC is an integral part of Daimler Trucks, and Daimler AG owns 85 percent of the company’s shares. Last year MFTBC sold a total of 197,700 vehicles, including light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks as well as buses.
