MERKTRANS was founded in 1991. The company’s profile covers almost all kinds of activity in the field of transporting different cargoes for the purposes of international trade. In the year 2000 the company was certified for compliance with the ISO 9002:94 quality system.

In 2004 we upgraded the certification for a newer version – ISO 9001:2000. MERKTRANS was the first of the Estonian agency, shipping and brokerage companies to become a member of the Baltic&International Maritime Council and in 1994 it was appointed official correspondent of BIMCO.

Furthermore the company is a member of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Association of Sea Shipment Companies of Estonia and a collective member of the Russian Academy of Transport.
