Shanghai throughput hits new record in JanuaryFeb 17, 2011

Shanghai Port posted a new monthly container throughput record for January, reported China Knowledge Press. Shanghai Port, China's biggest port, handled 2.7 million TEUs in January, up 21 percent from a year earlier. The figure was higher than the last record of 2.64 million TEUs last August.
