China and France hold economic seminar

 
The 15th China-France Economic Seminar opened on April 8 in Beijing. Over 600 Chinese and French enterprisers and scholars are attending the seminar.

Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former Prime Minister of France, said in his address that cooperation between China and France has broad prospects. While bilateral relations are gradually improving, the business circles of the two countries should seize the opportunity to further enhance investment cooperation, promote trade balance, and provide guarantees in the areas of technology, law and finance to enhance cooperation among enterprises.

Wan Jifei, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), expressed that he hopes China and France can expand mutual investment, maintain the trade growth rate and make joint efforts to transform the crisis into an opportunity so that trade and economic relations can make contributions to push China-France relations back on track.

The China-France Economic Seminar is sponsored by the CCPIT and the France-China Committee in France. The subject of this year’s seminar is Challenges and Opportunities: Beginning New Cooperation between China and France. The seminar will last two days.
