The U.S. Senate confirmed on June 27 Christopher R. Wall's nomination to Commerce Department assistant secretary for export administration.

In this position, Wall will serve as the principal advisor to the Commerce undersecretary on dual-use export control policy, or licensing rules for exports that have both commercial and military applications.

Prior to his confirmation, Wall was a senior international trade partner at law firm Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, where he focused on export controls, foreign investment, international trade proceedings and policy.
