Brazilian President Urges Investigation on Speculation on Food, Energy Market

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva urged at the Common Market of the South ( Mercosur) Summit Tuesday to investigate and study the food and energy markets.

The 35th summit of the Mercosur opened on Monday in Tucuman, north of Argentina. Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay formed Mercosur in 1991 with the aim of creating a South American common market. Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru are member states.
