Centres of Excellence planned for textile market

COIMBATORE: The Government has planned to establish four Centres of Excellence for medical, geo, agro and protective textiles which would offer business opportunity for the United States and the European textile industries to expand markets, according to a release from Seshadri Ramkumar, assistant professor at the Institute of Environmental and Human Health at the University. The University would also organise a conference on Advances in Textiles, Machinery, Non-woven and Technical Textiles from July 14 to 16 in Coimbatore.
