The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) states will discuss a draft agreement on a free trade zone at its 49th Economic Council meeting in Yalta, southern Ukraine Friday.
The draft agreement provided for minimizing the number of goods on which import duties apply, Ukrainian Ukrinform news agency reported.
Preparations for a 20th anniversary of CIS exhibition and issues covering cooperation in the fields of transportation, scientific and technical information exchanges, food security, social services and innovation also will be discussed at the meeting.
The Ukrainian delegation to the meeting will be headed by Andrey Kluev, first vice-prime minister of Ukraine and minister of economic development and trade.
