Philippine export earnings in January rose 11.8 percent to 4 billion U.S. dollars, fueled by strong exports of electronic products.
The National Statistics Office reported Thursday that revenues from export of electronic products - the country's top export earner increased by 5.3 percent year on year to 2.14 billion U. S. dollars in January.
Earnings from other major export products such as textile, coconut oil, and furniture also increased. More than half of the country's exports went to Japan, the United States, China and Singapore.
