MAERSK Line and Safmarine are to launch an Intra-Europe liner company, called Seago Line to work in the Black Sea cluster covering all Europe, the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean.
The introduction of Seago as a common feeder service adds to APM-Maersk regional carriers, which serve in intra-regional cabotage: MCC Transport (intra-Asia), OACL (South Africa and neighbouring countries) and Brazil's flag carrier Mercosul Line covering its country's cabotage rules, reported Paris-based Alphaliner.
The line will run as a separate brand, said the company in a recruitment advertisement, but did not detail whether it will deploy vessels from the Danish carrier's fleet on its intra-Europe routes.
