JIANGSU provincial trade value to Taiwan stood at US$35.5 billion in 2010, up 46.6 per cent over 2009 under the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) between Taiwan and mainland China.
The ECFA tariff preference scheme for Jiangsu's imports from Taiwan is expected to reach over $30.7 million this year, reports Xinhua.
The province's export value to Taiwan came to $7.19 billion while the import value, $28.31 billion in 2010. Taiwan becomes Jiangsu's six major trading partner and third main import source.
Since the ECFA took effect in January 1, Jiangsu imported 21 units of cargo under ECFA terms with a tariff preference of $118,692. It is estimated that the import ECFA tariff preference through 2011 will be over $30.7 million.
