China expects its 2011 trade to increase 21pc to US$3.6 trillion

CHINA's foreign trade to increase 21.4 per cent to US$3.61 trillion in 2011, according to the Ministry of Commerce.


The export volume expects to be $1.89 trillion, growing 20 per cent year on year, while import volume will be about $1.72 trillion, rising 23 per cent year on year.


China's total import and export value to the US is projected to have a year-on-year growth of 20.5 per cent to $464.5 billion this year. The export volume is expected to be $340 billion, showing an increase of 20 per cent year on year, while the import volume will be $124.5 billion, an increase of 22 per cent compared to the previous year.


Total import and export value to the EU will be $584.7 billion, marking a rise of 21.9 per cent year on year. The export volume will be about $376.6 billion, an increase of 21 per cent year on year, while the import volume will be about $201.8 billion, an increase of 23.5 per cent compared to 2010.
