American Airlines Cargo flies from New York to Tokyo

AMERICAN Airlines Cargo has commenced services to Tokyo's downtown Haneda Airport from New York's JFK, deploying wide-bodied Boeing 777 aircraft.


A statement from the carrier said the service provides connections throughout Japan and to other destinations in Asia, via its core interline partners.


"Our new flight opens important new daily trade lane opportunities for our customers, with connections throughout the United States and Latin America from Asia, and new connections throughout Japan from Haneda," said AA president Dave Brooks.


The cargo airline expects to transport flowers and seafood from the US, and auto parts and construction equipment from Tokyo to Latin America, especially, Brazil.


Daily flight 135 from JFK to Haneda depart 18:10 hrs and arrives the next day at 22:15 hrs. Return flight 134 departs Tokyo 06:40 hrs and arrives the same day in New York at 17:15 hrs.
