Vietnam earned 397 million U.S. dollars from pepper export in first eleven months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 23 percent, said a report of Vietnam's General Statistics Office on Tuesday.
The country exported 112,000 tons of pepper during this period, a decrease of 11.5 percent year-on-year.
Vietnam sold 8,000 tons of tea in November alone, raking in 38 million U.S. dollars, said the report.
Vietnam's major markets for pepper in the first eleven months include the United States, Germany and the United Arab Emirates, said the report.
Last year, Vietnam exported 137,000 tons of pepper, earning 356 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 51.3 percent in volume and 14.3 percent in value, according to the General Statistics Office.
