NANJING customs statistics show that value of toys exported from eastern China's Jiangsu province totalled US$200 billion from January to October, up 27.8 per cent year on year.
Since hitting a bottom of $8.3 million in March, Jiangsu's export toy value had been rising, reaching a $29.6 million peak in September. In October, value fell 4.3 per cent over September to $28.3 million, but still up 29.4 per cent year on year.
US, the European Union and Russia were the three largest export markets. In the first 10 months, exports to the US came in a $76.5 million, up 45.2 per cent; to the EU, up 2.6 per cent to $48.3 million and to Russia, $25.7 million, up 46.5 per cent.
