China auto output up 35.4pc to 10 million units through August

CHINESE Automotive Technology and Research Centre has released figures that show that production of Chinese vehicles was up 35.45 per cent year on year to 10.92 million units and relative distribution up 31.53 per cent year on year to 9.46 million units, reported Xinhua.

China's auto industry has weathered a seven-month shrinkage in sales. In August, vehicle production was up 10.15 per cent year on year to 1.2 million units, but down 2.74 per cent from July. The distribution of vehicles was up 55.72 per cent year on year to 1.22 million units and up 15.09 per cent from a month earlier.
