Indonesia non-oil-gas exports see 16%-18% rise in 2010

Indonesian Trade Ministry expected non-oil-and-gas export would rise by 16 percent to 18 percent to 113 billion U.S. dollars to 115 billion U.S. dollars, Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu was quoted by local media as saying here Saturday.


Previously, the ministry targeted 7 percent to 8.5 percent of rise this year.


Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu was quoted by the Jakarta globe as saying the new estimate was based on the realization that monthly non-oil-and-gas sector exports were averaging 10 billion U. S. dollars in the first seven months of the year.


Mari said 47 percent of Indonesia's non-oil-and-gas exports are destined for Japan, the United States, China, Malaysia and Singapore.
