Fujian sees rapid growth in petty trade with Taiwan

According to sources from Fuzhou Customs, Fujian Province's petty trade volume with Taiwan Province totaled 8.538 million US dollars in January and February: an increase of 38.2% over the same period last year.

Imports increased 100% to reach 7.34 million US dollars; and exports decreased 51.8% to 1.234 million US dollars.

In February, Fujian's trade volume with Taiwan Province rose 22.5% to reach 2.786 million dollars. Imports accounted for 2.407 million US dollars of the total, a growth of 48.1%; and exports stood at 379,000 US dollars, a drop of 41.6%.
