China Life's market share rises to 39.7%

In 2007, China Life Insurance Co., Ltd. attained an operational revenue of 281.294 billion yuan, at an increase of 23.26%. Its total profit grew 101.25% to 34.794 billion yuan. The company's net profit soared 94.77%, and reached 28.116 billion yuan. In addition, its diluted earnings per share were a record high of 0.99 yuan, according to an annual report issued at a press conference held by China Life on March 26.

The annual report also indicates that China Life's outstanding performance in 2007 resulted from the stable development of business; optimizing business structure and greatly enhancing investment income.

China Life's market share was 39.7% in 2007, according to statistics from the China Insurance Regulatory Commission.
