Chinese shares rise 0.68%

Chinese equities rose for a fifth day, slightly up 0.68 percent Monday.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.68 percent, or 19.51 points to finish at 2,881.12.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose one percent, or 115.77 points, to end at 11,635.45.

Combined turnover shrank to 166.997 billion yuan ($24.45 billion) from 213.54 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
