EASTERN China's Zhangjiagang port handled 13.6 million tonnes of cargo in April, an increase of 29.7 per cent compared to the same month in the preceding year and 20.8 per cent better than March, Xinhua reported.
From January to April, the port's cumulative throughput climbed 3.4 per cent to 44.2 million tonnes. Foreign trade cargo rose by a robust 32.9 per cent to 13.7 million tonnes, setting a historical high.
