Sector co-operation is key, says Peter Wong, new HAFFA chairman

THE Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Limited (HAFFA) has announced that Peter Wong has been elected chairman of the association for 2009-10.

Mr Wong, of Expeditors Hong Kong Limited, was elected along with the HAFFA executive committee during the association's recent annual general meeting.

It is a great honour to have been elected chairman of HAFFA and to have the opportunity to serve our industry, especially during this particularly demanding time. I look forward to working together with all of our committee members as we meet the challenges ahead, said Mr Wong.

The new HAFFA chairman stressed the need for co-operation: As we work through the current economic climate, it is vital that we are ready to capitalise on every opportunity. HAFFA is committed to serving the freight and logistics industry, and together we can emerge stronger, he said.
