Evergreen starting Italy/North Africa feeder

Evergreen Line is today starting a regional service from its Mediterranean hub port of Taranto to connect with other ports in Italy, Tunis and Libya.

The 612-TEU vessel Reecon Eagle will call at Taranto, Civitavecchia, La Spezia, Tunis, Misratah, and Taranto on a 10-day rotation.

This new feeder service is providing customers with greater capacity, improving operation efficiency and schedule integrity; moreover, it is helping to create a win-win situation for both shippers and the carrier to seize new business opportunities in Tyrrhenian and North Africa areas, said a spokesman for the Taiwanese carrier in a statement.
