TAIWANESE shipping lines Evergreen Line and Wan Hai Lines has agreed to exchange slots on its services covering Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila, Japan and Korea
Evergreen has agreed to swap its North East Asia-South East Asia Service-A (NSA), North East Asia-South East Asia Service-B (NSB) and Wan Hai's Korea-South East Asia Service (KSS) /Korea-Vietnam Service (KVS).
Port rotation for NSA will be as follows: Osaka, Kobe, Iwakuni, Moji, Hakata, Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Nansha, Shekou and Hong Kong.
With its NSB rotation to run: Kaohsiung, Taichung, Taipei, Hong Kong, Pasir Gudang, Tanjung Pelepas, Penang, Port Kelang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore and Manila.
Wan Hai's KSS port rotation to follow: Penang, Port Klang, Pasir Gudang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Keelung, Inchon, Kwangyang, Pusan, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Klang and Penang.
KVS service will follow the rotation of Inchon, Gwangyang, Ulsan, Busan, Keelung, Taichung, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Keelung and Incheon.
Evergreen Marine Corporation's president, Jack Yen was cited in a Taiwan News report to say: Both Evergreen and Wan Hai can expect to enjoy the benefits of these slot-sharing arrangements with a significantly upgraded service network and more efficient utilization of capacity on the Intra-Asia trades.
