Hellespont Hammonia awards Wilhelmsen Ships Service contract to supply all marine products

Wilhelmsen Ships Service in Germany has been awarded a contract with German based ship management company Hellespont Hammonia for all product deliveries. The agreement covers the entire fleet under Hellespont Hammonia’s management. 
The senior purchase manager at Hellespont Hammonia, Mr. Matti Früchtenicht, is looking forward to working in partnership with Wilhelmsen Ships Service, “From the start it was clear that Wilhelmsen Ships Service possess both the global network and expertise necessary to meet the requirements of our fleet. It is critical to us that we have a reliable supplier who understands our business and is committed to helping us improve operational efficiencies wherever possible”
The Hellespont Hammonia fleet currently consists of 5 Suezmax tankers, one Aframax tanker, six Panamax tankers and 6 offshore Platform Supply Vessels. A further 8 handy size chemical tankers are scheduled to join the fleet in 2009 to 2010. To help facilitate a smooth change over a Wilhelmsen Ships Service Port Sales Engineer will be available onboard every vessel.

The contract is valid for a period of three years and covers all deliveries on a global basis. Wilhelmsen Ships Service expects to handle about 60 product deliveries per year as a result of this agreement.
Hellespont Hammonia GmbH & Co. KG is a Hamburg-based management company. It manages the fleet of ships operating under the German tonnage tax system. It is owned 50% by Hellespont AG & Co. KG, 25% by the leading Hamburg ship owner Peter Döhle Schiffahrts KG's daughter company MS NikeSchiffahrtsgesellschaft GmbH & Co. KG and 25% by the KG emission house, HCI Capital AG's daughter company Schiffsbeteiligungsgesellschaft Nautica GmbH & Co.KG.
