UASC takes delivery of second 6,919-TEU ship from HHI

Kuwait-based United Arab Shipping Co. on Monday received the second of eight 6,919-TEU containerships ordered from South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries in a $850 million deal signed in March 2005.

The Hatta will join sister vessel Al Safat on the weekly Asia/Middle East/Europe AEC service, on which Hanjin Shipping, Senator Lines, CSAV Norasia and Hapag-Lloyd all take space from UASC on various legs.
