Feb 15, 2008 Shipping

A 2,000-gross-ton vessel carrying scrap metal from Glasgow in Scotland to Portugal ran aground in the River Clyde early Wednesday evening when it lost engine power.

The Minerva 2 was successfully refloated with the assistance of the tug a couple of hours later and was then towed to Greenock for inspection.
