The listed Estonian shipping company Tallink carried a total of 1.8mn passengers in December 2008 to February 2009 (or Q2 of FY 2008/09), up 15% from Q2 2007/08. According to Logistics Finland, in February 2008, Tallink carried 610,218 passengers, down 0.8% from February 2008, as well as 49,954 passenger cars (+30%), and 19,061 freight units (-31%). In Q2 200/09, Tallink carried the total of 83,992 passengers (+43% y/y) on the line between Latvia and Sweden; between Estonia and Sweden 212,341 (+23%); Estonia and Finland 750,743 (+14%); Finland and Sweden 743,726 (+14%); Finland and Germany 16,612 (-33%). Tallink's passenger and freight units carriage in Q2 reached 163,572 (+28%) and 56,602 (-29%) respectively.
