Feb 24, 2009 Shipping

REEDERERI Claus-Peter Offen GmbH, one of Germany's biggest shipowners, plans to lay up 10 containerships averaging 2,500 TEU each, reports Bloomberg.

The company has already mothballed three 2,500-TEU ships as it was unable to find new employment for the vessels following the end of charters, the report said.
