HK January down 23.2pc to 1.6 million TEU, Singapore off 19.6pc

FIGURES from the Hong Kong Marine Department show the port handled 1.622 million TEU in January, a fall of 23.2 per cent over the 2.110 million in January of last year.

Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority reported a 19.6 per cent decrease in container movement in January, having handled 1.974 million TEU compared to 2.455 million TEU in January of last year.
