Greece: Hellenic Shipyards signs contract with Hochtief

Hellenic Shipyards S.A. signed a contract with HOCHTIEF Construction for the construction of a Jack-Up Platform / Jack-Up Barge. This is the first export new building order for the now German owned Hellenic Shipyards after more than 20 years and was booked against international competition.

The project is considered to be of major importance both due to its high complexity and due to its use in the implementation of breakthrough technology.The contract provides work for more than 15 months for Hellenic Shipyards S.A. and several Greek Subcontractors of the Shipbuilding Industry.
