COSCO Tai' Ankou vessel completes locating BOA oil drilling platform

COSCO's (Cosco Shipping Co Ltd) 20,000-tonnes Tai' An Kou vessel has completed locating an oil drilling platform (a topside module) in Malaysian Bunga Orkid Field by dynamic positioning system after 13 hours' operations.

The module used for Northern Fields Developments Project Bunga Orkid (BOA) is made by Malaysia's Sime Darby Engineering Sdn Bhd (SDE) for Talisman Malaysia Limited. It is 94 metres high, 102 metres wide and weighs 12,900 tonnes, the maximum load the ship could take, said a company statement.
