Shareholders want a new board of directors in Nordic Tankers

Dec 18, 2008 Shipping

Two of the main shareholders in Nordic Tankers A/S, Mogens Buschard and Hasse Larsen, demand an extraordinary general assembly in order to elect a new board of directors to replace the team that was appointed by Steen Bryde at the hostile take-over in April. The shareholders have suggested six names for the new board of directors. They are: Klaus Kjærulff (former CEO of Torm), Jens Fehrn-Christensen (former CFO of D/S Norden), Mogens Buschard (former Chairman in Nordic Tankers), Flemming Krusell Sørensen (former CEO of Nordic Tankers), Sven Rosenmeyer Paulsen (lawyer and partner in Kromann Reumert) and Jesper Tullin (CEO of International A/S).

Only a few days before the request of an extraordinary general assembly the investment company Glumsø Gruppen announced that they have purchased some six per cent of shares in the Nordic Tankers.
