Hamburg Sud to open office in Colombia

 

 German ocean carrier Hamburg Sud said last week it will open its own network of offices in Colombia beginning Jan. 1.

   Hamburg Sud Colombia Ltda. will have a head office in Bogota with a branch office in Cartagena and will be responsible for all the shipping group's container-shipping operations to and from Colombia.

   Together with its longstanding partner Messrs Eduardo L. Gerlein S.A., Hamburg Sud operates further offices in Medellin, Cali, Baranquilla and Buenaventura, the carrier said in a statement.
