Shipping companies urge delay in Jakarta rate hike

The shipping industry has urge Jakarta Minister of Transportation Jusman Syafii Djamal to delay the application of new terminal handling charges (THC) at Tanjung Priok port due to the current global economic crisis, Bisnis Indonesia reported.

Shipping companies have asked the Minister of Transportation to delay the application of the new THCs and re-apply old the THCs at Tanjung Priok.

The shipping companies has said they are ready to sit together with all stakeholders to discuss the THCs at Tanjung Priok.
