Coast Guard's Bone joins American Bureau of Shipping

The American Bureau of Shipping said Rear Adm. Craig E. Bone has been named to the new post of vice president of corporate programs.

Bone joins ABS on retirement from the U.S. Coast Guard after more than 30 years of service. Bone was commander of the 11th Coast Guard District when he retired and prior to that assistant commandant for prevention.

He will be based at ABS's office in Paramus, N.J., and assume responsibility for coordinating environmental initiatives being undertaken by ABS to assist clients in dealing with new regulatory challenges and efforts to reduce their environmental footprint.
