Samskip appoints Country Manager Italy

Stefano Antonini has joined Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics as Country Manager Italy with effect from 18 September 2008. 

Mr Antonini has a number of years’ experience in the multimodal and transport business focusing on key account management. He has worked for P&O Ferrymasters, C H Robinson and Fercam.

In his position of Country Manager, Mr Antonini will have overall responsibility for Samskip’s business in Italy and will report directly to Jens Holger Nielsen, CEO of Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics. Mr Antonini will be based in Samskip’s office in Milan.

Talking about his new challenge, Mr Antonini said: 

The Italian market presents many opportunities for the efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly transport solutions that Samskip offers. I am looking forward to expanding further our Italian business and to developing innovative operational, sales and marketing initiatives. 

Mr Nielsen stated:

With the strengthened Italian team in place and possessing a strong operational platform, Samskip is geared up to further develop its position in Italy.
