STX Shipbuilding wins $1.3 bn VLCC order

South Korean shipbuilder STX Shipbuilding said on Tuesday it had won a 1.4 trillion won ($1.30 billion) order to build eight very large crude carriers (VLCCs) from a Danish company.

STX said in a statement that it had secured the deal from Danish oil and shipping conglomerate AP Moller-Maersk. ($1=1080.3 Won)
