Lesnick named MarAd's head for intermodal systems development

The U.S. Maritime Administration has appointed H. Keith Lesnick to associate administrator for intermodal systems development.

In this role, he will oversee MarAd's Office of Infrastructure Development and Congestion Mitigation, Office of Marine Highway and Passenger Services, Office of Deepwater Ports and Offshore Activities, and Office of Shipper and Carrier Outreach.

Lesnick will also manage the agency's Gateway offices in New York, Miami, St. Louis, Houston, San Francisco, Chicago, New Orleans, Seattle, Los Angeles and Norfolk, Va.

Prior to this appointment, Lesnick served as director of MarAd's Office of Deepwater Ports and Offshore Activities. He joined MarAd in 1995 as a special assistant to the maritime administrator.
