INTTRA, an e-commerce platform for the ocean freight industry, said it has made extensive enhancements to its booking product line.
The company said INTTRA Link Booking 2.0, an EDI-enabled environment used by shippers and freight forwarders to reserve space on ocean-going vessels, has enhancements including:
Expansion of information about handling dangerous goods.
Expansion of settings available to configure temperature and atmosphere controlled containers.
Container-level haulage support, which allows shippers to request per-container level specifics associated with empty container positioning, multiple pickup and multistop export haulage arrangements.
Introduction of the ability to handle carrier split bookings. Carriers can split a multicontainer booking request into two or more discrete bookings to align with actual container space available on a vessel.
