Container Leasing increases European presence with French agent

Container Leasing (UK) Ltd has appointed GS International as its representative in France and Spain to enhance the company’s European sales and service network. Headquartered in Monmouthshire, UK, Container Leasing (UK) designs and supplies specialist containers for Europe’s multimodal transport and short sea operators, including 45ft box and curtainside containers.

Bob Walker, sales director for Container Leasing (UK), said: “Our container range helps European multimodal operators to compete effectively with road haulage and GS International will improve the service that we offer to our customers in France and Spain”.

GS International was established ten years ago, in Dunkirk, giving it an excellent logistics base for the north west of Europe. The company also has an office in Le Havre. Eric Desmet, managing director of GS International noted: “We felt that working with Container Leasing was a brilliant opportunity because of the company’s excellent reputation and the increasing demand for 45ft containers in transit operations from both the north and south of France”.

Desmet added that GS International’s strategy will be based on ensuring that national and local transport companies can easily buy or lease 45ft containers and other equipment, while strengthening the services available to existing customers.
