12 November 2007 the prime minister of the Ukraine Victor Yanukovich told that the government of the country examines the possibility of the limitation of the tankers' passages through the Kerch strait.
According to Rosbalt, V. Yanukovich said that the government plans to draw specialists in the maritime field to decide on this question, to consider the international experience and the requirements of the usage of the Bosporus and Dardanelles channels in particular.
Also he noted that each of the incidents, which occurred in the Kerch strait on November 11 is being studied at the expert level and at the given moment the government of the country doesn't plan to claim a compensation from Russia for ecological damage.
