Soon after the company's inception in 2006, Emirates Shipping Line has achieved solid business growth with eight services launched in 12 months providing a growth rate faster than the market and a widespread network spanning over 40 countries. 'We see an undeniable growth in the years ahead for the entire region in the Middle East, India and China,' said Mohamed El Alfy, Senior Vice President - Middle East, Africa and Mediterranean Region of Emirates Shipping Line.

Taking heed of the growing momentum of the booming maritime trade in the Middle East, Emirates Shipping Line will be sponsoring the Seatrade Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Award 2007 in the 'Ship Finance Award' category to be held in November 5th in Dubai. This category award is designed to celebrate and reward excellence and innovation in the maritime sector across the region. 'The sponsorship forms part of the company's strategy in supporting the accolades in the region's shipping community. It also help strengthening our presence in the industry,' said Safdar.
To further enhance the Line's intimacy with customers and as a tribute for their on-going support, Emirates Shipping Line hosted its first annual gala dinner at the Madinat Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai on Sunday 4th November, inviting key customers and vendors in the Middle Eastern region.
