COSCO Pacific June container throughput up 23 pct yr-on-yr

COSCO Pacific Ltd said container throughput at its ports rose 23 pct year-on-year to 4.0 mln 20-foot-equivalent units (TEUs) in June.

Throughput in the first six months of the year rose 22.7 pct to 22.1 mln TEUs from a year earlier, it said.

The mainland-based container terminal operator currently operates or controls 16 terminals in China, including COSCO-HIT Terminal (Hong Kong) Ltd. It also operates three container terminals overseas.
