TBS acquires 46th ship

TBS International Ltd. said it has entered into an agreement to acquire the Ken Blossom, a 38,852-deadweight-ton, 1992 built handymax bulk carrier.

TBS has agreed to acquire the vessel for a purchase price of $44 million charter free with expected delivery during the third quarter.

Following this acquisition, TBS's fleet will comprise 46 vessels with an aggregate of about 1.4 million dwt, with 23 tweendeckers and 23 handymax/handysize bulk carriers.
