Oct 19, 2007 Shipping

Famous Pacific Shipping, the fast expanding Asia-based NVOCC and freight services supplier, is all set for its 2007 Annual General Meeting and Conference which will take place in Mauritius between 21st and 24th October.
Delegates at the conference will focus their attention on the subject of evolution in freight forwarding and debate the changing face and growing opportunities of the global freight industry today.
Commenting on the theme, Marcus Goldsworthy, spokesman for the FPS Group’s Executive Committee, said: “In our industry, if you stand still you are left behind.
“The theory of evolution is all about the survival of the fittest and that is certainly the case in the freight forwarding industry today.
“Members of the FPS Group are committed to utilising new technologies in order to improve efficiency and offering better services to our customers, while at the same time evolving our products and service commitments to match the changing expectations of our clients.
“Our forthcoming annual general meeting and conference is an excellent opportunity to examine where the group is going and discover what the priorities are for developing our operations in the future.”
It is anticipated that over 150 executives, representing group members from around the world, will attend the conference.
Famous Pacific Shipping’s global network now includes 43 individual companies, from 22 different nations worldwide, working together under the FPS banner.
